No Sew Halloween Costumes For Kids

To create a Jack-in the-Box Halloween costume, choose a box sufficiently large in order to fit over your little one’s body and cut out the bottom. Then cut out openings for the arms and head. Paint the box with bright colors and put on a crank. Instead of having the usual clown pop up out of the box, you might develop a horror costume by having a horrifying witch or ghost pop up instead.

First you will begin to create this look by brushing your child’s hair atop of their head, creating either a pony tail or a bun. (If you have a boy, you may opt to make a similar look on a base-ball cap. Now you will use a dampened sponge to cover your child’s eyebrows with white face paint. Once this has completely dried, you will then add in yellow face paint to create the triangle eyes, nose, and the jack-o-lantern’s smile over his or her lips. Next you will brush on orange face paint over the entire face (leaving the yellow alone!) Now you will top your child’s head or hat with hand-made pumpkin leaves and twisty vines by utilizing your craft materials.

Costumes from famous people are not only popular, they are fairly easy to put together. The best way to dress your kids in a famous person costume is to go with the outfit the famous person is most noted for. For instance you can dress up as Waldo from the where’s Waldo books by putting on a striped red/white shirt with blue pants and a red and white stocking cap.

For girls, they can dress up as Wilma or Betty and if a child dresses like the first of the two then they need only dye their head red or wear a red wig unless they are a natural red head. Slap on a necklace of pearls with the costume and they’ll look like a mini-Wilma and no necklace is even needed for Betty.

Infants and toddlers don’t really mind how you dress them up and you can select from a wide range of costumes. The most favored are bugs and flowers. You get cute little single piece outfits that form the body of the bug like a ladybug, glow worm, a honeybee, an ant or even a butterfly or snail. As an accessory, you will also get antenna for each of the bugs as a cap or as a hair band attachment. All of the accessories are well padded so you can be rest assured that your babies are safe and will not be able to hurt themselves.

ACCEL just held its third date auction at Tropicana where the order of the day was bidding for bachelors and bachelorettes. Tony said this event was very successful and, in fact, has raised over ,000 in the past two years. ACCEL also sponsors a Day of Caring, where group members clean up the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City, getting it into tip-top shape for summer.

Tony told me a little bit about the ACCEL program itself. Formed in 2007, ACCEL’s mission is to get younger business professionals active in the community. ACCEL holds four to five events per year, including holiday themes such as costumes for kids at Halloween.

Cut two large circles out of the cardboard. Paint the circles in the M&M color that you chose. Draw “M&M” on both pieces of cardboard circles. Use the string to hang it over the child’s shoulders, front and back like a sign.
